Further Description In 2019, five seventh-grade students embarked on a class that taught the principles of photography, storytelling, and social change. What followed was a collection of reflective photography that examined the physical environment of Hunts Point: the beauty they desired to uplift, the areas they hoped to shift, and the ways they could challenge stereotypes others have placed on their community.

This program is a partnership between Hunts Point Alliance for Children & Duke Center for Documentary Studies’ Hine Fellowship.
