During my time at the Brownsville Community Justice Center I ran and designed curriculum for a program titled “Opportunity Youth,” focused on individuals at the Center who were not in school or gainfully employed. There were two cohorts of this program throughout the year. I worked with them to teach Media Theory, animation, photography, lighting design, audio, and screenwriting through daily workshops. One of the projects that came out of this was a photo essay on youth parenthood.
